This past Saturday we had the opportunity to once again brave the elements. The couple we shot I had met for the first time. Sarah had met in college through classes her final year at Columbia College Chicago. While meeting them for the first time I felt as if I had known them for many years. Gerardo & Cynthia have been married for seven years. We truly had a great time with them. As a newly married man I felt encouraged and looking forward to the future with my own wife. If this shoot taught me anything then it was that love is brave, love is exciting, love is daring. And most of all like a captain guiding a ship. Love can handle all weather. Doesn't matter if its sun, rain or snow. - Kevin Robert Hansen

Sarah & Kevin Holiday Self Portraits - glad I took these when I did or we would have missed the holiday portraits this year! As a few days later I was in the hospital - then over the holiday's recovering from surgery. All is much better now - you never want to miss those special moments. With life changing so quickly these days. I LoVe to capture those special moments on film! With 2008 as our first Christmas together - 2009 will be our first Christmas married! I'm looking forward to all the moments I will have the opportunity to capture both in my family and yours!
